Questions for Bradley?
Submitted by anonymous (not verified) on Tue, 06/24/2008 - 16:00.
I have taken several on-line classes through blackboard and have absolutely loved them. This format seems to be a little less organized for me but I will work through it. On blackboard you are able to see your progress or that your assignments have been received. Is there somewhere on here that we will be able to see things as we go or do you e-mail them to us or what?
In reading through the syllabus it states that we will be writing essays. Will there be specifications that you post here on the blog for us to follow?
Sorry for all the questions, just making sure that I know what is expected.
Thanks,
Kim W.

Will the lies be revealed?
Are we all going to have to own up to our lies or can we leave the mystery?
good question
I'll leave that up to everyone as to how much of a mystery they want to remain. Some have already admitted to their lie, others are still stringing us along. Bradley

Kin,
A lot of your answers, I like to think anyway, will be found by reading through the syllabus and various assignments. I'll be tinkering with the assignments some, but not much. You'll know I've received your work because you'll get an essay back with comments and a grade, when a grade is appropriate for the assignment. When it comes to grades, you take the number of essays written, add the grades together and divide by the number of essays. The other work--drafts, responses to drafts, responses to the readings--gets scored through the bonus points as described in the syllabus. Bradley
Question 1 (of many)
Bradley,
So, do the summaries and essays get posted to the blog just like our introductions? Also, would you like the summaries for chapter 1 & 2 to be combined or separate, and if so, how long would you like them to be?

p.s. I've always been known as the annoying person that asks all the stupid questions. Sorry.
quick answer: yes, one
I'll post directions whenever something is about to come due, but yes, you'll post your summaries and essays and drafts as blogs. It's best to post the chapter summaries easin a single entry because it is easier to read and respond to them that way. Bradley
I wanted to touch on this
I noticed on the 30th it says "summaries of chapter 1&2 due", but curious is our responses of the chapters are due along with that on the same day? (or am I getting this all wrong? I read this in the essay 1 part) I only got confused because on July 2nd it says "due responses" but not sure if that is responses to others summaries, or responses of our chapters.
summaries and responses
for next Monday, you'll want to have the two chapter summaries done. Two days later, you'll want to have read and responded to several of the summaries others have posted, pointing out things you both touched on, things that might be included that were left out, things that could be cut because they are secondary rather than major details. That's what you'll be doing with the responses to other summaries. Bradley
I was wondering what the
I was wondering what the length of the chapter summaries needs to be? I have read through the summary guidelines and am not finding that info. Maybe I just overlooked it.
Thanks,
Kim W.
OK
I understand better now, I was complicating it. Thank you.

Oops! Sorry, I had only pulled up the front page of the syllabus. I didn't realize that the 9 or so blue titles were links. I will read through this better and hope to have no further questions for now.
Thanks, Kim
