1&2 Summary (Not the essay)
Politics are definitely something that I could use some serious informing on. I always have gotten the great bias beliefs that my parents drilled into my head but now that I am an adult and am also a free thinker, I notice my views and beliefs change. The only problem now is that I have no idea what’s real and what isn’t in the political world. So, as I started to read this book and figure out what it was all about, my attention was narrowed and I was becoming interested in what the authors had to say.
I’m glad that this book will give me a chance to form my own real views and understand what is really going on. Before this book I thought that I was doomed to live a life of disinformation in the world of politics; luckily for me, there is this great thing called school that opens your mind and introduces you to great things such as this book.
Ok, but now for the book; what good information. I’m convinced that everyone needs to read this novel so that the United States doesn’t look like a bunch of idiots. I don’t understand why everyone has to lie about everything though. Why do politicians have to say the things they do and make everyone here, in this country, look like they only went to first grade? We should be respectable. If I knew that a politician running for office was telling the truth 100% all the way through the election I would vote for that person just because of their honesty.
The novel also talks about scams that make you think that something is happening when it really isn’t. I agree that that is not right to sell something to someone that is not what it claims to be but I was thinking about how there is this crazy thing that the brain does where you think that you are getting better just because you believe you are. Belief in something is strong. They say the secret to life is the law of attraction. If you think positively of what you want and only think well, you are attracting those good thoughts to yourself and the universe then feels them and finds a way to make them happen. Anyways, I know I went off on a tangent but that is a very strong idea in the world of deception.

Needs a bit more
Your intro needs the full names of the authors and the title of the full title of the book. Also your thesis is a little clouded. As the reader I’m not sure exactly what this essay is about. This is a really good advertisement for the book and I agree with you completely, but your essay seems to be missing a main summary and your response with examples. It also needs a conclusion that ties into your thesis. But your write has great potential and with a little work this could be a really great essay.
hi
I agree with you, this is an amazing book that is an eye opener to all of us! I can't wait to move to the next chapters. To answer your question, why everyone is lying, I can come up with only one answer and that is the desire for power and control that we humans have. It doesn't justify the lies though...
In your introduction you need to include author's name and the title. It's good you are giving your opinion you need to add something about the chapter, challenge the reader with the ideas they are just about ready to learn. For your summary part, include the major points for the chapter you chose. In you response you can talk about some examples.
Your conclusion has some great ideas. I see what you are saying, often people speak better of something than it actually is just to stay focused and positive. But there should be a line between staying positive and saying the truth the way it is. So, for your conclusion add something that would give us a sense of closure.
Thanks for the input but
Thanks for the input but thats not even my essay :) its on there and you are more than welcome to tell me what you think about that one! thanks!
I have to admit
I have to admit I'm just a little confused. I believe that the title and authors names need to be included in the essay. Some of the sentences are very hard to follow ie:"I agree that that is not right to sell something to someone that is not what it claims to be but I was thinking about how there is this crazy thing that the brain does where you think that you are getting better just because you believe you are." I'm thinking it would be easier to read if it were reworded and made into two sentences. Maybe something like : I agree that it is not right to sell something to someone if it can't live up to all that it claims. I was thinking about how the brain does crazy things, like make you feel better just because you believe that you are better. Well these are just a couple of suggestions. I too need some help in finding my way through the political word mazes.
Thanks for the input but
Thanks for the input but that was just my summary. My essay is on there you can critique that one if you would like :)
