3&4 Summary (not the essay)

In todays world nothing is really what it says it is. I dont even know what size pants i am because the sizes are different for every different brand. They use the example of the coffee sizes at starbucks. There are no larges and they call their smallest size a "tall." The deception is very simple and small and many of us dont even think twice about it. Sometimes we notice when the what we think is a small looks really extreme but other than that we look at what we get instead what we call it. Like the book talks about also, we pay attention to picture much more than we do words. They have done many studies showing messages completely different from what the picture dosplays and still people think that they heard what they saw. Listening is just as important if not more important in being persuaded during adds and other noise media.
The 4th chapter talks a lot about how our brains are just as decieving as the information put in them. The way our brain works makes us hate being wrong and sometimes standing up for something that is completely proven wrong by facts. Some people get so carried away with their ideas that they are almost martyrs for them. The bad part about this is that there will always be people like that that will strongly believe in something completely wrong and allow others to get confused and miinformed.

RE: summary

Nice summary I like how you stated that our brains are just as decieving as the information put in them. Your words flow together nicely and it makes for a good paper.

I like your equating the

I like your equating the clothing size changes to this summary of chapter 3.

It would be good to provide concrete examples in the summary of chapter 4 such as the UFO incident, the moonbat commentary on politics, or the paragraphs about the third-person effect of highly educated people believing they can see through advertising claims even though others can't, etc.

Don't forget to mention

Don't forget to mention "Smoke Away" and how not to assume things because of their name. Also the "death tax" scenario, and how to question what a cut really means. I believe those are high points that should not be forgotten. :)
