The subject line is a bit self-deprecating, but guess I was actually honored to be asked to do what I'm about to write about: serve as one of three judges in the Kairos John Lovas Memorial Blog Award. The winner will be announced this weekend at the Computers and Writing conference. I met John only once, at 4C's (where, along with a rather good-sized group, we at at The Four Seas in Chinatown; it was only fitting once we saw the sign.) in San Francisco but was truly impressed by the man he was, and I guess "is" in many of our minds.
I'm not going to reveal my votes here, but I am going to provide a list of the nominees, several of which I tend to read fairly regularly already and the others of which I was glad to have been introduced to. I've listed them in alphabetical order so as not to give away any hints about my vote. I encourage you to look at those that are new to you. I think you'll enjoy them at least as much as I did.
